Fashion influencer Uorfi Javed, who is well-known for her daring and unorthodox style choices, was about to make her eagerly awaited debut at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. Unfortunately, though, she has announced that she will not be going to the festival.
Taking to her Instagram account, Uorfi penned an emotional note explaining why she has to skip the event. She expressed her disappointment over missing such a significant milestone in her career and addressed the concerns of her fans who had been wondering about her sudden absence from social media and the usual paparazzi appearances. According to her post, the past few days have been particularly challenging, which is why she has kept a low profile.

The post read, ¡°I haven¡¯t been uploading anything or been seen anywhere cause I was going through a phase. My business didn¡¯t work. I tried a bunch of other different things only to face rejections." Further, she also revealed to have received an opportunity to make her appearance at Cannes 2025, but could not make it to the prestigious film festival." She added, ¡°Got an opportunity to go to Cannes through Indie Wild. (Big big thank you to diipa khosla and kshitij kankaria) But as the fate would have it, my visa got rejected.¡±
She also asked people to share their rejection stories. She concluded her note saying that every rejection is an opportunity.
