¡®Everyone Moves On, What¡¯s The Big Deal?¡¯: Raveena Tandon Addresses Break Up With Akshay Kumar

Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon were one of the hit couples in the late 90s. The duo who dated publicly went on to give some hit films together namely Mohra, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, Barood and Mai Khiladi Tu Anaari. Later, Raveena and Akshay due to unheard reasons called off their engagement.

Where Akshay went on to marry Twinkle Khanna in 2001, Raveena tied the knot with Anil Thadani in 2004.

Recently during an interview with ANI, Raveena talked about her broken engagement and said, "It comes up, and it comes up like there¡¯s a war between everyone whom he¡¯s involved with. Hello, once I had moved out of his life, I was already dating someone else, and he was already dating someone else, so kahan se jealousy ayegi?¡±

Tandon further revealed that she has even forgotten when exactly was she engaged to Akshay.

She shared, ¡°We were a hit pair, during Mohra, and even now, when we bump into each other socially, we all meet, we all chat. Everyone moves on. Girls have been changing their boyfriends every week in colleges, but one engagement that has broken is still stuck to my head, I don¡¯t know why. Everyone moves on, people have divorces, they move on, what¡¯s the big deal.¡±

Twinkle in the same interview addressed the backlash that celebrities face over their stance on controversial subjects in society.

She said, ¡°Damned if you speak, and damned if you don't. For example, according to me, Twitter is completely polarised. It's either the right wing or the left wing. They have completely taken over, there's nothing that you can do. So, either you are a Sanghi or a Naxalite. It's either or, there's no middle path left anymore, no neutral path that you can take. But, yes when it comes to my country and when I have to speak up for my country fir mai bhi bheer jati hu (then I fight back).¡±

The KGF 2 actress further lashed out at the trolls and replied to people who tell her ¡®Are tu toh acting hi kar tu kya janti hai¡¯.

¡°Why? Am I not a citizen of this country? Am I not a mother who has children who will be the next generation of this country? Am I not paying my taxes, paying my dues living in this country? Am I not proud of this country? What has taken me to be an actress taken my rights away to speak about when I want to speak about my country? Who are you to tell me that? If I don't come to your house and tell you ¡®don¡¯t talk about this.' who are you to come to my house and tell me ¡®don¡¯t talk about this?'¡±
