Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise reunite at F1 London premiere, three decades after sinking their teeth into Interview with the Vampire

Fans were in for a treat on June 23 when Tom Cruise made a surprise appearance to support Brad Pitt at the London premiere of the much-anticipated film F1. The red carpet moment quickly stole the spotlight as the two actors, who starred together in Interview with the Vampire nearly 30 years ago, reunited outside the Odeon Luxe in Leicester Square.

Their natural camaraderie instantly became one of the highlights of the night, sparking a wave of nostalgia among long-time fans who¡¯ve been hoping to see the pair share a moment like this again in public.

Set in the high-speed world of professional racing, F1 stars Brad Pitt as a former Formula One driver who comes out of retirement to mentor a rising talent and take one last shot at redemption. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, who also helmed Top Gun: Maverick, the film blends on-track action with an underdog comeback story and is already generating major buzz ahead of its theatrical release on June 27.

Their last on-screen collaboration was in the 1994 gothic cult classic Interview with the Vampire, where Cruise played the charming vampire Lestat and Pitt took on the role of the brooding Louis. The film was filled with dramatic striking visuals, and seeing the two of them reconnect definitely made for a moment that will go down well in Hollywood history.

Wearing a forest green suit paired with a soft sage scarf, Pitt lit up the moment he spotted Cruise approaching. Cruise, dressed in a slate grey suit and a crisp blue shirt, returned the energy with a wide smile. The two Hollywood icons embraced warmly and posed side by side for the cameras, making it their first official red carpet appearance together since the America: A Tribute to Heroes benefit concert back in 2001.

Will Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise reunite again?

Fans have been hoping for an onscreen reunion for years, but so far, it¡¯s all just wishful thinking. Pitt recently poked fun at the idea during an interview with E! News, joking, ¡°I¡¯m not going to hang my ass off aeroplanes,¡± before adding that he¡¯d consider teaming up with Cruise ¡°when he does something again that¡¯s on the ground.¡±

Meanwhile, in a separate interview with CinemaBlend during CinemaCon 2025, Cruise said, ¡°It¡¯s great to see Brad behind the wheel. He¡¯s a really skilled driver. Trust me, I¡¯ve raced him before. Back when we were filming Interview with the Vampire, we¡¯d wrap up for the day and spend our nights racing go-karts.¡±
